Job description

Looking for Junior Interior Designers:

  • Relevant Architectural or Interior Design Degree
  • Minimum 3 years experience (local or international projects)
  • Experience in Hospitality, Institutional, or Workplace projects
  • Design flair, strong in presentation (visual & communication), and technical knowledge of building services

Senior/Interior Designer Responsibilities:

1. Responsible to the Project Director/Associate Director and liaise with the Architect, senior project team, and 3D Department for projects where the Architect of the building is AWP. For ID fit-out works commissioned independently, responsible to the ID Director and liaise with the senior project team.

2. Assist with daily tasks including design presentations, project management, contract administration, and correspondence.

3. Report to the ID Director on all design and technical matters.

4. Assist in conceptual and detailed design development.

5. Draft sketches and detailed construction drawings using CAD or manually, ensuring compliance with relevant authorities’ requirements. Track planning and building approval applications.

6. Liaise with vendors and suppliers regarding ID materials, finishes, and FF&E specifications.

7. Evaluate and comment on contractor’s construction program and resource planning. Establish expenditure control systems and authority limits for contract variations.

8. Provide necessary information and instructions to project managers and contractors to proceed with works.

9. Tasks include:

  • Liaison with clients and consultants
  • Site inspections
  • Attend meetings with consultants and on-site
  • Assist in coordination and preparation of construction documents and drawings
  • Prepare minutes of meetings, material specifications, finish schedules, FF&E cut sheets, material samples, images, and perspectives (with 3D department support)
  • Liaise with suppliers and contractors

Additional responsibilities for Senior Interior Designer:

  • Plan project deliverables and resource allocation
  • Assist in maintaining and improving ID system standards
