Senior/Interior Designer

Specific Responsibility, Accountability & Authority:

  1. Responsible to the Project Director/Associate Director and liaise with the Associate/Architect, senior project executive, and 3D Department for projects where the Architect of the building is AWP. For purely ID fit-out works commissioned independently, the Interior Designer reports to the ID Director and liaises with the senior project executive and 3D department.
  2. Assist in day-to-day executive tasks including design presentations, project management, contract administration, and project correspondence.
  3. Report to the ID Director on all design and technical matters.
  4. Assist in conceptual and detailed Design Development.
  5. Draft using CAD or manually for sketches and detailed construction drawings to meet relevant authorities’ requirements. Track applications for planning and building approvals with government authorities through consultants.
  6. Liaise with vendors/suppliers’ representatives regarding ID materials, finishes, and FF&E specifications.
  7. Evaluate and comment on the contractor’s construction programme and resource planning; establish expenditure control systems and authority limits for contract variations.
  8. Provide necessary information and issue directions to the project manager and building contractor to facilitate progress.
  9. Perform tasks as required, including:
  • Liaison with clients and consultants
  • Site inspections
  • Attending consultants/site meetings
  • Assist in architectural/ID coordination, organization, and preparation of construction documents and drawings
  • Preparation of minutes of meetings, material specifications, schedule of finishes, FF&E cut sheets, material sample boards, images, and perspectives (with 3D department support)
  • Liaison with suppliers and contractors

For Senior Interior Designer, the above responsibilities apply, with additional duties:

  1. Plan deliverables and resource allocation for each project stage.
  2. Assist in maintaining and improving ID system standardization.
