Job description

Position: Interior Designer (Retail Fit-Out)

• Working Days: Monday to Friday
• Working Hours: 8.30am to 6pm
• Office Location: Eunos
• Salary: $3000-$4000 (Depend on Experience)

Required Skills:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D) and SketchUp
• Strong knowledge of retail space planning, fixture design, and material application
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple retail projects under tight timelines

Key Responsibilities:

1. Concept Design Development: Develop creative and functional interior design concepts tailored for retail environments. Translate branding and customer experience objectives into spatial design ideas.
2. 2D Drawings & Technical Drafting: Prepare detailed 2D drawings including space plans, furniture layouts, reflected ceiling plans (RCP), elevations, sections, joinery, and construction details. Ensure drawings comply with building codes and fit-out requirements.
3. 3D Visualization: Create realistic 3D perspectives/renders to visualize the final retail space. Model design concepts using software like SketchUp or similar. Present rendered views and walk-throughs to clients and stakeholders.
4. Retail-Specific Detailing: Design and detail shopfronts, display units, product shelving, cashier counters, and feature walls. Incorporate signage, lighting concepts, and branding elements into the interior layout.
5. Materials & Finishes Selection: Propose and specify appropriate materials, finishes, color palettes, and fittings. Prepare sample boards and coordinate with suppliers for mockups or approvals.
6. Project Coordination: Liaise with clients, project managers, contractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth execution. Attend site meetings and inspections to ensure design accuracy during implementation.
7. Documentation & Submission: Prepare necessary design packages and documents for authority submissions (if applicable). Maintain organized records of revisions, client feedback, and approvals.
