932 Design Group is looking for a highly passionate and experienced Interior Design Director to lead our team at the Head Office. This is a rare opportunity for a passionate leader to shape the design direction of a regional brand, drive innovation, and mentor a high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Strategy

  • Lead and define strategic leadership and creative direction for all interior design projects, guiding the team from concept through to successful completion.

  • Review and approve all design proposals, ensuring alignment with brand identity, client objective.

  • Champion innovation in planning and development and experiential design to enhance functionality and user engagement.

Project Management

  • Collaborate closely with project managers, technical teams, and external consultants to ensure design are feasible and cost-effective.

  • Oversee project timelines, budgets, and resource planning or allocation to ensure efficient execution and successful delivery.

  • Represent the design function in high-level client meetings, presentations, and project reviews, ensuring strong alignment with client expectations and strategic objectives.

Team Management

  • Lead, mentor, and manage the design team, providing regular feedback, training and development opportunities.

  • Delegate tasks effectively, provide clear direction, and promote a collaborative, creative, and productive studio environment.

Client Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships by acting as a trusted design advisor and consistent brand ambassador.

  • Deliver high-impact presentations of concepts and strategies with confidence, clarity, and persuasive insight.

  • Conduct in-depth consultations to truly understand client requirements and translate them into strategic, actionable design solutions.

Business & Strategy

  • Contribute to business development efforts by supporting the preparation of design proposals, client pitches, and competitive tenders.

  • Stay abreast of global design trends, emerging technologies, and sustainable design practices to drive innovation and relevance.

  • Continuously evaluate and enhance design workflows and processes to improve efficiency, creativity, and quality of output.

Innovation & Market Insight

  • Monitor global design trends, emerging technologies, and sustainable practices to ensure the team remains forward-thinking and competitive.

  • Drive innovation by exploring and integrating new materials, tools, and digital design solutions

  • Continuously assess and refine internal workflows to enhance efficiency, elevate design quality, and maximize creative impact.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in relevant fields such as Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.

  • Minimum 15 years of relevant interior design, with a strong focus on leadership and strategy including at least 5 years in a leadership role

  • Strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of design projects.

  • Proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.).

  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management and leadership skills

  • Strong understanding of compliance, sustainability, and regional building regulations.

  • Experience managing budgets, procurement and design operations at a strategic level.
