Summary:
The Interior Designer will be responsible for the planning, design, and coordination of interior environments from concept to completion. This role involves developing creative design solutions that are functional, aesthetically pleasing, and aligned with client objectives. The Interior Designer will collaborate closely with architects, consultants, contractors, and clients, and contribute to the overall project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake design development and documentation of interior design projects from concept to completion.
- Conceptualize and present creative design ideas, space planning strategies, and mood boards to clients and stakeholders.
- Liaise with clients to understand requirements, present proposals, and incorporate feedback into design development.
- Develop 2D and 3D drawings, layout plans, elevations, sections, and detailed drawings using relevant software.
- Select appropriate materials, finishes, lighting, and FF&E specifications in line with project objectives and budget.
- Prepare documentation for tender and construction, including specifications, schedules, and detailed drawings.
- Coordinate with consultants, suppliers, and contractors to ensure design intent is realised during implementation.
- Attend site meetings, resolve design-related issues and monitor progress of interior works.
- Maintain high standards of design quality and delivery across all stages of the project.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher from an accredited Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or Architecture programme.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in interior design projects, preferably in healthcare, commercial, or hospitality sectors.Proficient in design and documentation software including AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Photoshop.
- Strong design sensibility with a keen eye for aesthetics, materiality, and spatial experience.
- Good communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
