Job description

PI Architects is a tight-knit team of Architects and Designers. While most of our current work revolves around residential projects, we have also been involved in commercial, hospitality, office, retail and graphic design work.

Team members work closely with project directors in a flat hierarchy. Our work environment is highly collaborative and interactive. We also value individuals who are independent, situationally aware, and personally responsible for their work.

Job Description and Responsibilities

  • Design, detail, client manage, project manage interior design projects. We are currently working mostly on residential projects.
  • Work closely with design director and clients to formulate design solutions.
  • Design spatial solutions via floor plans, sections, elevations, 3D-visualizations.
  • Design development via modelling, detailing, and prototyping
  • Prepare drawings for tender/construction
  • Prepare bills and quantities and coordinate with contractors for tender/costing.
  • Manage and collaborate with contractors and builders during the construction phase for further design development and project coordination.
  • Work with various suppliers to propose FFE solutions for the design.
  • Involved in other design endeavours, collaborations, competitions, publications etc.

Requirements

  • A tertiary education in interior design or a related field.
  • At least 2 years work experience in the residential interior design industry.
  • A good understanding and eye for interior design, spatial quality, graphics, proportions, colours.
  • A good knowledge of timeless spatial design principles.
  • A keen interest in current spatial design trends and ideas.
  • Skilled in various design software. We are currently using Autocad, Sketchup, Adobe, and Twinmotion.
