Interface Manager

Responsibilities:

• Establish, implement and maintain the Interface Management system and keep track of all internal and external interfaces.
• Coordinate the definition of split of responsibilities between the parties by establishing the Responsibility Matrix and any other drawings or documents to clearly identify the responsibilities and battery limits.
• Actively work with all subcontractors to agree on interface deliverables and dates.
• Solve potential issues before they impact any Project Activity.
• Set up and maintain the Interface Register for all the major parties for monitoring and forecasting interface activity.
• Approve / Close all interface items entered in the Interface Register.
• Report the progress of interfaces to the SCM Engineering Project Manager/Project Manager.
• Organize all necessary interface meetings with other parties, to discuss/resolve schedule and technical issues.
• Ensure that numerous project information flows between different organizations are properly coordinated.
• Ensure that all interfaces, interface data requirements and any potential problem areas are identified early in the design process, clearly defined, documented and agreed by both parties.
• Ensure that interface scope boundaries are known, communicated, understood and agreed upon by both parties.
• Ensure that all activities are executed so that the identified interface issues are resolved and closed out, and that relevant interface information is exchanged in a timely manner.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Marine Engineering or related engineering disciplines; Diploma holders with relevant experience are welcomed to apply.
• Minimum 10 years of working experience in offshore project interface management, project control and project management.
• Competent in various interface management software, e.g., PIM.
• Able to liaise with internal and external parties.
• Able to comprehend the strategies, work methods, processes and systems in overall project execution and engineering execution.
• Able to be deployed for long-term overseas assignments when required.
