A logistics company in Singapore seeks a Supply Chain Manager with over 5 years of experience in manufacturing. The role includes developing production plans, managing customs compliance, and leading warehouse operations. Key qualifications include strong knowledge of customs policies, proficiency in SAP/WMS, and excellent communication skills in Chinese and English.
Production and Material Control (PMC):
Develop and monitor production plans and coordinate material supply and inventory management to ensure delivery of order and control costs.
Participate in optimizing inventory levels and prevention and handling of obsolete materials.
Customs Planning and Compliance Management:
Based on business needs, track development of customs policies, conduct customs planning and risk prevention, and establish process standards.
Lead the application and management of customs-related qualifications, such as AEO, COO, and process trade handbook.
Handle daily export logistics operations.
Warehouse Operations: Manage the warehouse team, assign tasks, track performance, and organize system and operational training to improve efficiency and standardization.
Cross-Departmental Coordination: Collaborate with production, procurement, quality, and engineering epartments to handle material scheduling, production anomalies, urgent orders, and shipment arrangements, ensuring efficient and smooth supply chain operations.
Cost Management: Monitor material consumption, warehouse energy consumption, and customs costs, and implement cost-saving measures.
Process and System Optimization: Analyze bottlenecks in warehousing, production, and customs processes, promote the application and adaptation of 5S, visual management, and digital systems (e.g., SAP/WMS), enhancing overall operational efficiency and data accuracy.
Exception Handling and Problem Resolution: Lead the handling of anomalies related to production, customs, and warehousing; assess risks, develop countermeasures, adjust plans in a timely manner, and coordinate resources to minimize impact on delivery.
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Management, or a related field.
5+ years of supply chain experience in the manufacturing industry, with expertise encompassing PMC, customs, and warehouse management. Familiarity with Singapore’s customs and supply chain environment and experience of team management is required.
Professional Competencies:
Customs: Proficient in customs policies of China and Singapore, with experience in managing COO and processing trade handbooks. Experience in leading AEO certification processes is preferred. Familiar with the application, amendment, and closure procedures for processing trade handbooks.
Production and Inventory Control: Experience in production planning, inventory management, and material scheduling. Familiarity with manufacturing processes and capacity planning. Highly data-sensitive to perform supply-demand balance analysis effectively.
Systems Proficiency: Hands-on experience with SAP/WMS, with the ability to promote process improvement and system implementation.
Key Personal Qualities:
Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Chinese and English, enabling efficient internal and external coordination and cross-departmental collaboration.
Analytical Skills: Strong logical thinking and data analysis capabilities.
