The purpose of this role is to be the market/marketing intelligence function of the department that – through analysis and synthesis of data into insights and trends – fuels the strategic deliverables and initiatives of the broader team.

Job Description:

Key responsibilities:

Reports into and will support the Integrated Strategy Director in the development of key strategic deliverables. Manages the Integrated Strategy Analyst

Assists in the development of strategic, insights-driven deliverables in collaboration with Integrated Strategy Directors for larger clients and assignments. But will have full ownership to lead strategy initiatives/deliverables for smaller clients and assignments

Conducts research on business | industry | consumer | cultural | competitive trends. Assists senior team members in synthesising market/marketing intelligence data into insightful trends and implications. Publishes on-going trends reports to the team and the broader organisation

Conducts research on industry competitors and compiles SWOT analysis of competitive capabilities and strategic consulting offerings

Is a key contributor to new business development/pitch efforts that have the involvement of the integrated strategy team: from insights development that helps to frame the strategic challenge and fuels the development of a customer journey to the development of an integrated strategy platform and strategic brief development

Leads and manages the departments “Intelligence Function”: including secondary market and consumer intelligence resource, primary research tools as well as Dentsu-internal capabilities (M1, CCS etc.). As subject matter expert, trains other strategists in the department on the correct use of the tools. Evaluates and manages vendors and maintains subscriptions. Continually scans the market-place for possible new tools/resources the team should consider

Helps to develop and co-lead integrated strategy and ideation workshops (with internal and external/client stakeholders) to drive disruptive strategy development. Aids in the analysis of the workshop, crystallisation of ideas and report development

Is an active contributor to thought-leadership development. In some cases will be a supporter to CSO or Integrated Strategy Directors (sourcing content, research, case studies etc.). In other cases will have full and independent ownership of a thought-leadership initiatives
