Job summary

Placement Professionals is seeking a motivated Insurance Specialist in Singapore to support Financial Advisers and clients with protection needs. You will deliver high-quality support, train advisers on products, and develop strategies to drive sales while maintaining strong client relationships.

You will become the go-to expert on our insurance suite, compare products, and ensure compliant, accurate processing of applications.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the expert on the entire suite of insurance products and maintain a comprehensive understanding of features and markets.
• Develop and maintain a detailed internal product comparison matrix and update it regularly.
• Provide guidance to Financial Advisers and clients to identify appropriate insurance products.
• Conduct training sessions and workshops for Financial Advisers to strengthen product knowledge.
• Develop and implement sales strategies and work with insurers to strengthen partnerships.
• Present products to clients, addressing questions and ensuring accurate applications and regulatory compliance.
• Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes to keep offerings competitive.
• Collaborate with operations to optimise workflows and ensure smooth execution.
• Perform UAT testing and provide feedback on new features for a seamless user experience.
• Drive sales performance by meeting KPIs and maintaining records of activities.

Job description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Insurance Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will play an important role in supporting Financial Advisers with clients' protection needs.

You will be responsible for engaging with Financial Advisers and clients, delivering high-quality support, and fostering strong professional relationships with them.

• Serve as the expert on the entire suite of insurance products offered by the company and maintain a comprehensive understanding of product features, benefits, limitations, and target markets.
• Develop and maintain a detailed internal product comparison matrix, highlighting key differences, advantages, and disadvantages of each product. Regularly update the matrix to reflect changes in product offerings
• Provide expert guidance to Financial Advisers and clients in identifying the most appropriate insurance products according to their individual needs, financial goals, and risk tolerance. Utilize the internal product comparison matrix to support recommendations and demonstrate the value of each product.
• Conduct training sessions and workshops for Financial Advisers to strengthen their understanding of insurance products and their ability to effectively recommend them to clients.
• Develop and implement sales strategies that demonstrate insurance products as valuable solutions to clients' needs, while working closely with insurers to strengthen our partnership.
• Present insurance products and solutions to clients in a clear and professional manner, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
• Prepare and process insurance applications, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive landscape to ensure the company's product offerings remain competitive and relevant.
• Collaborate closely with the operations team to optimise workflows and ensure smooth execution.
• Perform ad-hoc UAT testing and provide feedback on new insurance features to ensure a seamless user experience.
• Drive sales performance by meeting KPIs, ensuring meticulous tracking of sales, campaigns and provide timely internal reporting to Financial Advisers and internal teams
• Maintain accurate records of sales activities and client interactions.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in any discipline, or CFP/AFP candidate preferred
• Self-motivated, proactive and have a strong sense of ownership.
• Strong presentation, communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of insurance products, regulations, and industry best practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Licensed in life insurance and general insurance.
• Proven track record of success in insurance sales or a similar role.
• High level of integrity and professionalism.
• Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies.
