Job summary

A leading company in immunotherapy seeks an Instrumentation Engineer to support their advanced manufacturing processes. In this role, you will ensure optimal equipment performance by providing expert maintenance and troubleshooting. Ideal candidates will hold a degree in relevant engineering fields with a solid grounding in GMP and have extensive experience in a biopharmaceutical manufacturing setup.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in electrical and instrumentation engineering, preferably in a biopharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent knowledge of GMP and experience working in regulated environments.
  • Agile and adaptable in a fast-moving operational environment.

Instrumentation Engineer (Electrical/ Equipment/ Pharma)

Duration: 12 Months Contract
Location: Tuas
Salary: Up to $8,000 depending on experience

Our client is a fully integrated, global immunotherapy powerhouse who have been working on automated and digitized processes and build continuously capabilities for specialized manufacturing, either for individualized vaccines or for large-scale products like COVID-19 vaccine.

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert support in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical equipment and instrumentation to minimize downtime and ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Develop and maintain a robust calibration program for instruments, sensors, and control devices, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Program and troubleshoot PLCs to support process automation across the facility.
  • Investigate equipment-related deviations and safety incidents using structured problem-solving methods and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
  • Manage changes to E&I systems, including project planning, scheduling, vendor coordination, and material management.
  • Collaborate with validation teams to support equipment qualification and validation activities.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for improving energy efficiency within electrical systems.



Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Control Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in electrical and instrumentation engineering, preferably in a biopharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent knowledge of GMP and experience working in regulated environments.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting and maintaining highly automated equipment and systems.
  • Agile and adaptable in a fast-moving start-up or evolving operational environment.
