Role Summary

As an I&C Designer at Burns & McDonnell India, you will be a key member of a dynamic team designing complex Instrumentation systems for global Oil & Gas projects. You will provide design insights from conceptual layouts to final build, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to achieve excellent outcomes. Collaboration with engineers and designers in Mumbai and the United States is essential to develop construction-ready design documents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Apply instrumentation theory and engineering principles to develop robust design solutions.
  • Create and refine detailed 2D drawings, plans, and design documents based on S3D models, installation details, and specifications.
  • Participate in Model Review discussions focusing on operability, maintainability, and constructability.
  • Develop wiring diagrams, loops, cable schedules, and tubing lists using SI - Smart Instrumentation software.
  • Prepare material take-offs (MTO).
  • Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams and BMUS team members.
  • Utilize office tools (Excel, Power-BI) for documentation and data analysis.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Diploma in Instrumentation Engineering with 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong expertise in instrument design and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with S3D, Navisworks, AutoCAD, MS Office.
  • Ability to coordinate teams and foster collaboration.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
