Job summary

KK Women's and Children's Hospital Pte. Ltd. Instrument Technician Associate is needed to support the Central Sterile Supply Unit, collecting and washing soiled items and ensuring safe patient care.

You will reprocess surgical instruments and medical devices, following standards for decontaminating, assembling, packing, sterilizing and distributing equipment, and perform sterilisation quality control tests while maintaining documentation.

Qualifications

• Entry level with Higher NITEC/NITEC in Engineering or GCE N/O/A.
• Ability to work independently and handle soiled instruments.
• Ability to work on weekends and Public Holidays.
• A good team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Collect and wash soiled items.
• Coordinate quality reprocessing services for surgical instruments and medical devices to ensure safe patient care.
• Adhere to standards in decontaminating, assembling, packing, sterilizing and distributing instruments and equipment promptly.
• Monitor and perform sterilisation quality control tests.

Job Description

You are responsible for collecting and washing soiled items.You will provide and coordinate quality reprocessing services for surgical instruments and medical devices in the hospital to ensure safe patient care. You are required to adhere to established standards in decontaminating, assembling, packing, sterilizing and distributing instruments and equipment promptly. You are responsible for monitoring and performing sterilisation quality control tests. You are also required to ensure proper documentation, care and maintenance of instruments and equipment.
