Job summary

GMP Technologies is seeking an Instrument Engineer for our chemical manufacturing operations on Jurong Island. You will provide technical support for electrical, instrumentation, and automation systems to ensure safe and reliable plant operations, and assist in planning maintenance projects.

You will collaborate with maintenance, production, contractors, and vendors while monitoring performance and implementing improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor in Instrumentation, Electrical, Process Control or similar.
• 3–5 years of experience in maintenance or engineering in a relevant industry.
• Sound knowledge in E&I and Process Controls.
• Motivated and able to work under pressure.
• Team oriented and communicative.
• Must be willing to work in Jurong Island.
• Field work in chemical plant environment, handling highly hazardous materials.
• Office computer with standard software.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for electrical, instrumentation, and automation systems to ensure safe and reliable plant operations.
• Support maintenance and production teams in troubleshooting equipment issues and implementing effective solutions.
• Assist in planning and executing plant improvement, maintenance, and engineering projects, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and within budget.
• Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, and vendors to support project execution and maintenance activities.
• Monitor and improve the performance and reliability of electrical and instrumentation systems through continuous improvement initiatives.
• Stay updated on industry practices and new technologies, and apply suitable improvements where beneficial.
• Support compliance with company safety, quality, environmental, and change management requirements.
• Provide guidance and training to maintenance and operations personnel on equipment, systems, and process changes.
• Participate in the plant's on‑call rotation to provide technical support when required.
