Job summary

UWC South East Asia at the Dover Campus invites applications for a Part Time Teacher of Primary School Spanish to start as soon as possible. The appointee will teach Language B (foreign language) classes from Beginner to Intermediate level for Grade 3 to Grade 5, with students aged 6 to 11.

The successful candidate will be an inspiring practitioner with a recognised teaching qualification, a passion for diverse learners, and a commitment to collaborative practice.

Qualifications

• A good degree with a specialization related to this position and a recognized teaching qualification.
• Proven record as a successful Spanish teacher at Primary School level.
• Passion for working with 6–11 year olds and understanding their developmental needs.
• Commitment to diversity and inclusion and ability to adapt pedagogy to learners.
• Willingness to participate in the five key elements of a UWCSEA education: Academics; Activities; Outdoor Education; Personal and Social Education; Service.

Responsibilities

• Contribute positively to the Spanish Department and Primary School team.
• Design learning experiences that challenge diverse learners and provide constructive feedback.
• Use the UWCSEA Learning Principles as a foundation for teaching and learning.
• Ensure assessments support ongoing learning and timely feedback.
• Demonstrate effective classroom management across academic, social and emotional dimensions.
• Keep parents informed about student learning and communicate proactively.
