Job summary

Worklane GmbH in Singapore is seeking a Lab Technician for a 1-year fixed-term contract at our Galaxis office. The role requires onsite attendance five days per week and involves prototype assembly, testing, troubleshooting and maintenance of engineering test equipment.

You will work closely with engineers to support design validation, documentation and product reliability, while handling test procedures and report writing. Prior hands-on testing in engineering environments is essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Higher NITEC in Electronics or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of engineering, technical support, or product development experience.
• Hands-on testing, troubleshooting and fault diagnosis of electrical/electronic/mechanical systems.
• Familiarity with engineering drawings, schematics and lab equipment.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Support design, build, modify and test prototype mechanical and electronic systems.
• Assemble, troubleshoot and maintain prototype units and test equipment.
• Interpret drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams and docs.
• Conduct testing, fault isolation, root-cause analysis and troubleshooting.
• Assist engineers to resolve issues and improve product performance.
• Develop, execute and document test procedures and results.
• Maintain accurate records of test activities and updates.
• Operate lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, signal generators and multimeters.
• Support updates to technical documentation and troubleshooting guides.
• Provide technical support and knowledge sharing within the team.
