About the Company

A forward-thinking company focused on applied research and development is looking for an Innovation Specialist to help drive technological advancement and stay ahead of industry trends. This role is key to spotting global market trends, identifying emerging technologies, and scouting innovative companies to support both client needs and the company’s strategic growth.

About the Role

You will build and manage channels to discover promising startups and technologies, particularly in AI and emerging fields. Role scope & focus areas are as follow:

• Technology/IP Management – Consolidating innovation efforts within the company.
• Capability Building – Exploring and building early-stage or emerging tech areas (e.g. quantum computing, robotics, generative AI).
• Advisory/Consultancy – Internal strategic advising + potential external consultancy services (tech trends, feasibility studies, etc.).
• Tech Scouting – Identifying innovative global companies and tech for collaboration.

Requirements

You will need min 2 years of experience in innovation, consulting, or advisory roles.

Key Competencies:

• Ability to translate insights into strategic recommendations
• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills
• Familiarity with both Singapore and global emerging tech ecosystems

Preferred Background:

• Experience in innovation consultancies
• Exposure to government-linked agencies
• Background in corporate innovation units within MNCs
• Involvement with VCs, accelerators, or venture builders
