Position Summary:

Responsible for providing technical support to innovation and new product introduction activities, specifically focusing on the hands-on execution and documentation of sample manufacturing, qualification batches, and initial reliability assessments to facilitate the smooth transition of new products and processes into production.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the hands-on manufacturing of samples for new product development and innovation projects.
  • Support the execution of qualification batches for new products and processes, ensuring adherence to defined parameters and procedures.
  • Accurately record production data generated during sample runs and qualification batches.
  • Build comprehensive reports based on collected production data, summarizing key findings and performance metrics.
  • Perform reliability assessments on 1st piece production from new or modified processes.
  • Generate detailed reports documenting the results, and analysis of 1st piece reliability assessments.
  • Collaborate with engineering and IMT teams to understand technical requirements for new products and processes.
  • Provide feedback from sample manufacturing and qualification runs to assist in process optimization and de-bugging.
  • Maintain organized records of all manufacturing data, test results, and reports.
  • Adhere to all quality, health, safety, environmental, and security requirements during all activities.
  • Perform any other special projects as specified, as and when required, related to innovation and manufacturing support.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or ITE in Mechanical, Electronics, Mechatronics Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or technical support environment, preferably with exposure to new product introduction, process development, or sample production.
  • Ability to follow technical instructions and manufacturing procedures accurately.
  • Proficiency in recording data and generating reports.
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and quality checks.
  • Computer literate, with proficiency in using relevant software for data entry and report generation (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Word).
  • Good problem-solving skills, particularly in identifying and documenting manufacturing issues during trials.
  • Takes initiative and demonstrates a strong sense of responsibility.
  • A team player with a proactive and collaborative attitude.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data recording and reporting.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment.
