Key Responsibilities
1. Production & Operation Control
- Supervise daily operations of plastic injection molding machines and supporting equipment.
- Ensure production schedules are met according to planning and customer requirements.
- Monitor machine performance, cycle time, and output efficiency.
- Coordinate mold changeover, machine setup, and parameter adjustment during production runs.
- Ensure correct use of raw materials, colorants, and regrind according to approved standards.
2. Quality Control & Process Improvement
- Ensure all molded parts meet dimensional, visual, and functional quality requirements.
- Enforce adherence to process parameters, work instructions, and inspection plans.
- Participate in root cause analysis and corrective actions for defects such as short shots, flash, warpage, burn marks, and sink marks.
- Collaborate with QA and Engineering teams on continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support implementation of SPC, poka‑yoke, and lean manufacturing practices.
3. Machine and Mold Repair & Maintenance
- Coordinate with maintenance and tooling teams on machine downtime and mold repairs.
- Coordinate with suppliers on machine repairs.
- Ensure machine maintenance is carried out according to schedule.
4. Workforce Supervision
- Supervise, train, and motivate operators, technicians, and material handlers.
- Allocate manpower effectively for shift operations and production priorities.
- Conduct daily briefings, shift handovers, and on‑the‑job training.
- Monitor operator discipline, attendance, and adherence to safety rules.
- Support performance evaluations and skill development planning.
5. Safety, Health & Compliance
- Enforce workplace safety rules and safe machine operation procedures.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, ISO standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Promote 5S, housekeeping, and proper use of PPE at all times.
- Participate in safety audits and incident investigations.
6. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate production records, downtime reports, scrap records, and output data.
- Prepare weekly and monthly production reports.
- Update process documentation, SOPs, and work instructions as required.
- Support internal and external audits.
Job Requirements
1.Education
- Minimum Diploma in Precision Engineering, Mold Design Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline
2.Experience
- 1–3 years of experience in plastic injection molding manufacturing will be advantageous
- Fresh Graduates are welcome to apply
- Prior experience supervising operators or leading a production shift is preferred.
- Experience with precision plastic components for industrial or pneumatic products is an advantage.
3.Technical Skills & Knowledge
- Strong knowledge of plastic injection molding processes and defect analysis
- Familiarity with thermoplastic materials (e.g. PBT, POM, PP, PA, PPS)
- Basic understanding of mold design, mold construction, and maintenance principles
- Ability to read engineering drawings and process sheets
- Knowledge of process optimization and cycle time improvement
