Job summary

3 Cubed Business Consulting is seeking an experienced Application/IT system administrator to design, install, qualify, upgrade, and maintain virtual system architectures and critical applications, including infrastructure hosting and disaster recovery. This role focuses on ensuring scalable, reliable IT environments for client projects in the APAC region.

Qualifications

• Experience designing, installing, upgrading, and maintaining virtual system architectures and critical applications.
• Familiarity with validation and QA processes to support system compliance.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize urgent IT needs, including outside office hours.

Job Summary

This role suits an experienced Application/IT system administrator responsible for designing, installing, qualifying, upgrading, and maintaining virtual system architectures and critical applications, including infrastructure hosting and disaster recovery.

Responsibilities

• Design and support new system infrastructure for client projects to ensure scalable and reliable IT environments
• Install, configure, and maintain new and existing systems and applications to optimize operational performance
• Implement new or upgraded systems and virtualization technologies to enhance IT capabilities
• Develop and enforce IT standards and procedures aligned with industry trends and corporate policies
• Write, review, and update comprehensive system documentation to support knowledge sharing and compliance
• Perform qualification testing on new and existing systems to validate functionality and reliability
• Plan and conduct disaster recovery exercises to ensure business continuity and data protection
• Create and maintain knowledge articles and standard operating procedures to facilitate consistent IT operations
• Apply IT security and cybersecurity measures by analyzing scanning reports and managing fixes, patches, or exceptions
• Manage IT backup and disaster recovery processes, including annual testing and evidence documentation
• Support database administration activities and maintain understanding of database concepts for system integrity
• Utilize expertise in Microsoft Server and Workstation Operating Systems (Server 2008/2012/2023, Microsoft Windows 7/10/11), Active Directory, Hyper-V, VMware, and Dell VRTX for system administration
• Apply knowledge of Emerson DeltaV, PLC/SCADA systems, hardware, and networking to support industrial control environments
• Work independently to prioritize tasks and respond to urgent IT needs, including availability outside office hours

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Third level qualification in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
• Familiarity with Validation and Quality Assurance processes to support system compliance and quality standardsStrong communication skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders and document technical information clearly
• Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple projects and maintain system documentation
