A leading transport company seeks a Maintenance Engineer for the Jurong Region Line System, responsible for various maintenance tasks, ensuring safety and reliability of railway systems. Applicants should have at least ITE certification, 2 years of relevant experience, and demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills.
Responsibility
Participate in the maintenance works of tunnels, permanent way & 3rd Rail in the Jurong Region Line System so as to ensure that the safety, reliability and availability of the systems meet the standards agreed with the Operating Department.
Assist in booking, coordinating, planning and processing of Track Access Request.
Participate in the Track Measurement, Detection, Data Analysis and Response for track and 3rd Rail system to ensure that the permanent way is maintained to the standards agreed with the Operating Department.
Assist to inspect and report all defects related to building, viaduct and other system in the course of railway inspection.
Shunting and Driving of Engineer's Train/Train/Locomotives/Vehicles/Wagons.
Participate in Rail replacement operation for track & 3rd Rail system to ensure permanent way is maintained to standards agreed with the Operating Department.
Perform maintenance works on 3rd Rail system, Buffer Stop and Insulated Rail Joint.
Perform standby duties to respond to faults relating to track, tunnel, 3rd rail system reported by OCC/Engineer to rectify and prevent/minimise any service disruption.
Preparing of train consists, equipment, spares etc to meet the maintenance needs of night shift work.
Troubleshoot and arranging for defective equipment and tools to be rectified.
Monitoring of train noise level, defect condition and abnormality during traffic hours.
Assist in the maintenance, data collection and analysis of track measuring system
Managing the Pway stores in JRL mainline and depot
Support other section work in the department as requested by Supervisor
Assist to supervise grouting and building repair works
Assist to monitor construction activities along railway corridor
Any other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Requirements
Minimum ITE certification or higher
Minimum 2 years of engineering-related experience (preferably in railway)
Strong leadership abilities
Effective communication skills
Proficient in computer applications
Positive and proactive attitude
Team player with flexibility and cooperation
Self-motivated and resourceful. Responsible and dependable
Willing to work night shifts
