Job summary

itcan pte. limited seeks a Senior Cloud Architect to design, implement, and manage scalable Google Cloud Platform infrastructures. You will lead deployments, migrations, and automation, with hands-on GKE management and IaC practices. Strong scripting and security posture are essential.

You will collaborate with developers, project managers, and senior stakeholders to drive DevOps culture, optimize performance, and reduce costs while exploring AI-enabled cloud solutions.

Qualifications

• 10+ years IT experience including enterprise-scale cloud infra projects
• GCP certification at professional level (e.g., PC Architect/DevOps/Developer)
• 5+ years hands-on with GKE and containerized environments
• Experience with Terraform, Pulumi, or equivalent IaC tools
• 5+ years scripting in Python and Shell
• Strong DevOps, automation, and operational best practices
• Proven ability to lead technical teams and manage complex projects
• Knowledge of Singapore/government/enterprise standards (preferred)

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure solutions on Google Cloud Platform.

• Lead GCP infrastructure deployments, cloud migration, automation, and operational improvement initiatives.

• Manage Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (IaC), and cloud configuration management.

• Develop automation scripts using Python and Shell scripting to improve operational efficiency.

• Implement cloud security, monitoring, incident management, and troubleshooting practices.

• Lead technical teams and collaborate with application developers, project managers, and senior stakeholders.

• Manage service delivery, escalations, KPIs, technical documentation, and project status reporting.

• Drive DevOps best practices, continuous integration, continuous delivery, and infrastructure automation.

• Identify opportunities to improve cloud architecture, operational processes, performance, and cost efficiency.

• Support the adoption of emerging AI technologies and cloud-based AI solutions where applicable.

Mandatory Skills & Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 10 years of overall IT experience, including substantial hands‑on experience in enterprise‑scale cloud infrastructure projects.

• GCP Expertise: Strong hands‑on experience in Google Cloud Platform, including cloud architecture, deployment, operations, and security.

• Professional Certification: Must hold at least one Professional-level Google Cloud certification, such as:

  • Professional Cloud Architect

  • Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer

  • Professional Cloud Developer

  • Professional Machine Learning Engineer

• Kubernetes: Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience with Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) and containerized environments.

• Infrastructure as Code: Strong experience with Terraform, Pulumi, Google Cloud Config Connector (KCC), Google Cloud Deployment Manager, or equivalent tools.

• CI/CD: Experience with Google Cloud Build and other CI/CD pipeline technologies.

• Scripting: Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience in Python and Shell scripting.

• DevOps & Automation: Strong knowledge of infrastructure automation, deployment strategies, configuration management, and operational best practices.

• Technical Leadership: Proven ability to lead technical teams, manage complex projects, resolve escalations, and engage senior stakeholders.

• Education: Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to AI technologies, LLMs, AI solutioning, and agentic workflows.

• Knowledge of AWS or Microsoft Azure.

• Experience with large-scale enterprise projects, preferably within a systems integration environment.

• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and software development and maintenance lifecycles.

• Additional certifications such as PMP or Scrum Master.

• Knowledge of Singapore government technology standards and guidelines.

• Experience with cloud monitoring, analytics, security, and cost optimization.
