Job Description & Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the coordination of all Systems Engineering patching activities for customer server operating systems in accordance with agreed upon schedules with the customer(s).
- Validate Patches are tested on common operating platforms to identify any potential issues.
- Run monthly/quarterly compliance reports and identify required patches.
- Participate in monthly patch review and schedule meetings to review vulnerabilities.
- Coordinate patching windows in compliance with change management and business requirements.
- Post patching reports.
- Coordinate for rollback activity required due to patching issues.
- Prioritize and schedule mutually agreed system patching and maintenance.
- To coordinate in setting up Infrastructure and support Application Infra needs
- To coordinate to harden the Infra and clear it bank standard processes
- To coordinate to maintain Infra with software/hardware patch/upgrade & EOS/EOL components
- Preventive/Proactive Support
- Incident/Change/Problem Management
- Able to support on weekend/shift to drive the patching as per published calendar.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Information Systems or related field
- Having 5-7 years of related experience.
- Working experience of Infra patching and administration, build tasks (Linux/Unix).
- Knowledge in Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins, DevOps, Other Container platforms
- Knowledge in Linux OS, Wintel OS, MariaDB or Any Other databases
- Knowledge in Networking (F5 GTM/LTM or any other SLB)
- Good to have knowledge on postgres, Maria DB and Middleware (App/Web Server).
- Knowledge of using Jira.
- Good understanding of large Data Center Facilities operation
- Strong understanding of server operating systems and patching process.
- Excellent understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives.
- Ability to conduct research into systems issues and products as required.
- Experience in Managing 6-10 member team (Offshore)
- Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.
- Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Candidate must be willing to work out of Customer Location and support weekend activities.
