Job description

Position: Information Technology Manager

Job Description: Provides overall project leadership to the cross-functional team (Business and IT), ensuring clarity regarding project objectives, approach, and plan. Promotes a collaborative team environment, proactively addresses resource and team challenges, and holds team members accountable for completing their tasks and deliverables on time, within scope, and with high quality.

Identifies and manages stakeholders, ensuring all are engaged, their expectations are understood, and they are kept informed throughout the project lifecycle. Ensures effective project governance, driving agendas and facilitating processes. Creates, communicates, and manages the project schedule, working closely with other project leads to define and track detailed tasks within the overall schedule.

Defines and manages the project budget, ensuring funding approval, tracking actual spend, and forecasting to project completion. Leads scope management and change control, defining scope, tracking potential changes, and presenting scope changes for approval.

Provides timely, concise communications to the project team, IT leadership, steering committee, executive board, and key stakeholders, utilizing PMO status reports throughout the project lifecycle. Drives risk and issue management, collaborating with the team to identify, address, and escalate risks and issues.

Leads the project team through the project management lifecycle, ensuring tasks and milestones are delivered on time, on budget, and with quality. Manages Arrow ECS global ArrowSphere product deployment and implementation. Manages a team of developers and business analysts, designs proof of concepts with architects and team leads, and manages status updates, incident analysis, and reporting for high-severity incidents affecting the business.

Must effectively manage multiple, often competing priorities within SLA contractual obligations. Has experience managing projects, issues, and milestones within the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Requires 3+ years of vendor management experience, managing infrastructure and business application projects.

Possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, professional demeanor, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work well at all levels of staff. Demonstrates excellent time management, multi-tasking, and prioritization skills. Holds PMP/Scrum Master certification, Agile delivery skills, and prior change management experience.

Qualifications: Typically requires 12-15 years of related experience with a 4-year degree; or 3 years with an advanced degree; or equivalent work experience.

Coordinates and supervises daily activities of support or production teams, sets priorities, and ensures task completion. Decisions are guided by policies and business plans, with guidance from management. Responsible for the results of support or operations teams, applying expertise to analyze and solve problems independently. Provides input on resource planning and policy development.
