Position Summary

The IT Director will be responsible for leading the company’s overall technology strategy with a focus on enterprise systems that support the property and real estate business. This role oversees the planning, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise software applications (e.g., ERP, Yardi, SAP, Oracle, Salesforce, property management platforms) to ensure they effectively support business operations, finance, asset management, and customer experience. The IT Director will work closely with business leaders, external vendors, and internal teams to align technology initiatives with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Leadership

  • Develop and execute IT strategies to support the company’s growth and digital transformation goals.
  • Provide leadership and direction for enterprise software planning, selection, implementation, and optimization.
  • Partner with senior management to identify technology opportunities that improve operational efficiency and decision-making.

Enterprise Software & Applications

  • Oversee administration, configuration, and integration of enterprise systems such as ERP, property management, finance, HR, and CRM solutions.
  • Ensure enterprise software meets the needs of departments including Finance, Asset/Property Management, Leasing, and HR.
  • Manage software upgrades, new deployments, and enhancements, ensuring minimal business disruption.
  • Evaluate new technologies and recommend solutions to improve system capabilities and user experience.

Operations & Governance

  • Establish IT governance, policies, and best practices for software usage, data integrity, and system security.
  • Ensure enterprise applications comply with regulatory requirements (e.g., data protection, financial reporting standards).
  • Develop and manage IT budgets, contracts, and vendor relationships for enterprise software and related services.

Team & Vendor Management

  • Lead and mentor the IT team responsible for enterprise applications, business analysts, and system administrators.
  • Manage third-party vendors, consultants, and system integrators to ensure quality delivery of services.
  • Foster strong relationships with stakeholders across the organization to ensure technology meets business needs.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of IT experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong experience in enterprise software management (e.g., Yardi, SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, Microsoft Dynamics, Salesforce).
  • Proven track record of leading large-scale system implementations and integrations.
  • Knowledge of the real estate/property industry and related enterprise platforms is highly desirable.
  • Strong vendor management, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
