The role includes managing incidents and service requests, overseeing IT asset management, and ensuring effective use of technology tools. A large MNC is seeking a skilled Information Specialist to support IT projects across the APAC region. The position is responsible for providing advanced support across end-user computing environments, including desktop systems, printers, and Audio-Visual (AV) technologies in meeting spaces. The role plays a critical part in maintaining IT asset records, resolving escalated technical issues, and supporting the day-to-day operations of the workplace IT environment.
The Position:
•Facilitate effective use of technology tools by local office employees to meet business needs. Identify knowledge gaps and deliver targeted training.
•Manage incidents and service requests in alignment with the ITIL framework across APAC offices.
•Build and maintain strong working relationships with business teams and local management.
•Oversee IT asset management, including inventory tracking and lifecycle maintenance.
•Provision and maintain PCs in accordance with company standards and processes.
•Collaborate with global and regional IT teams to ensure seamless integration of local systems with global infrastructure.
•Support IT infrastructure upgrades and office relocation projects.
•Maintain and update IT documentation and knowledge base content.
•Assist with data center operations, including cabling, device maintenance, and system monitoring.
•Provide support for meeting room setup and maintenance. Assist with business meetings and events.
•Manage vendor relationships and monitor performance to ensure service quality.
The Candidate:
•Skilled in desktop and laptop provisioning and troubleshooting including remote end users.
•Familiar with IT Incident and Service Request management processes and tools
•Familiar with IT asset management systems and inventory tracking.
•Experience with network, server, telephony, and UPS system operations.
•Proficient in implementing and managing Telco circuits.
•Strong understanding of IT cabling and patch panel management.
•Strong understanding of Microsoft Teams and Logitech-based meeting room technologies.
•Experience with digital signage solutions, including deployment and configuration.
•Familiarity with AV systems such as QSC, Crestron, and Biamp is advantageous.
•Strong communication skillsfor effective collaboration with internal teams and external partners.
•Strong vendor management capabilities, including coordination, negotiation, and performance tracking.
Preferred Qualifications
•Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
•ITIL Certified.
