Description

Astellas is seeking an experienced Information Security Manager who will be responsible for enhancing anti-virus, network governance, and developing the cyber security maturity of Astellas. This global role will assist an outsourced MSO to develop its skills, collaborate with senior leadership, and assist with IR.

Responsibilities include acting as the escalation point for security & privacy incidents, responding to security events, monitoring systems for attacks, running threat detection exercises, and developing security incident tools and processes.

Essential Job Duties

  • Act as the escalation point for security & privacy incidents across Astellas systems.
  • Respond actively to security events, from detection to resolution, including deployment of solutions and mitigations.
  • Monitor internal and production systems for attacks and intrusions.
  • Run threat detection exercises and search for anomalous behavior.
  • Develop tools for security incident alerting, management, and response.
  • Maintain incident response documentation, participate in post-incident reviews, and contribute to incident reports.
  • Participate in the security incident on-call roster.
  • Promote a security mindset and establish best practices across various security areas.
  • Identify trends, research emerging threats, and contribute to projects enhancing security posture.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Curious, detective mindset with drive to solve ambiguous problems.
  • Proven experience in Security Engineering, Operations, Incident Response, Analysis, or Threat Research.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • Strong documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of web protocols, attacks, and Linux/Unix tools.
  • Experience with SIEM/SOAR tools.
  • Ideally experience in the pharma industry.
  • Awareness of OT models and vulnerability scanning methodology.

Preferred Qualifications

  • ISC2 CISSP, CompTIA CySA+, Microsoft AZ-104, Blue Team Level 1 or above, CompTIA A+ certifications.
