Plan, implement, manage and evaluate infection control activities at healthcare sites.
Conduct quality control audits on infection control and risk assessments.
Provide advice and training to facilities on prevention, transmission, infection control and appropriate precautions/assessments.
Work with infection control doctors, nurses and microbiologists on the outcome of disinfection being carried out.
Develop and implement infection control policies and procedures.
Keep abreast of changes in infection control policies and standards.
Support assessment of any disinfection equipment/study relevant to Infection Control efficacy within UEMS and in consultation with the hospital's relevant personnel.
Initiate relevant infection control improvement activities.
Analyze audit reports, present and recommend mitigation action when necessary.
Develop, coordinate, conduct, and evaluate Infection Prevention and Control training programs in multiple languages, ensure adherence to legal, regulatory, and internal policies, identify areas of non-compliance and recommend corrective actions, communicate compliance expectations to foster a culture of compliance within the healthcare organization, and manage and report on staff vaccination status to reduce transmission risks.
Stay up-to-date with changes in regulations and industry best practices, and report on these changes to relevant stakeholders.
Appointed Liaison and spokesperson between stakeholders during national and institutional audits like CIIC, HQPSS, ESS etc for Infection Prevention and Control matters.
Organize and ensure complete documentation of staff weekly roll calls to mitigate risks and evaluate compliance for blood spillage and other Infection Prevention and Control work instructions.
Represent, develop and deliver outcomes of participation in support of hospital/Institutional Hand Hygiene Day, Housekeeper’s Appreciation Day etc.
Led, report and analyze Hand Hygiene and GloGerm (bed discharge) data on the annual compliance rate for patient’s safety.
Keep abreast with institutional updates to monitor, report and maintain onboarding and workplace vaccination documents required by organization policies promptly.
Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Superior.
Requirements:
Registered Nurse with 2 years of relevant experience in infection control and managing infectious diseases.
