Job summary

MULBERRY Learning Centre at Lentor is seeking an Infant Care / Early Childhood qualified caregiver to join our on-site team. You will provide attentive care in a nurturing environment, attend to infants’ daily needs, and document developmental milestones.

You will design age-appropriate activities, maintain high safety standards, and collaborate with fellow educators and leadership to ensure consistent care. Excellent communication with parents is essential.

Qualifications

• Possess an Infant Care / Early Childhood qualification meeting ECDA requirements.
• Experience with infants in infant-care or early-childhood settings is preferred.
• Patient, nurturing and attentive to infant needs.
• Strong sense of responsibility and awareness of infant safety.
• Able to communicate effectively with parents, colleagues and management.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, safe and hygienic environment with proper sanitisation of toys and areas.

• Maintain accurate records of feeding, sleep, diaper changes and milestones.
• Communicate with parents regularly about routines and development.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Provide attentive and responsive care to infants in a safe and nurturing environment.
• Attend to infants’ daily needs, including feeding, diaper changing, bathing, napping and hygiene routines.
• Observe each infant’s needs, behaviour and developmental progress, and respond appropriately.
• Plan and conduct age-appropriate activities and learning experiences that support infants’ physical, cognitive, social and emotional development.
• Build secure and positive relationships with infants through warm, respectful and consistent interactions.
• Maintain a clean, safe and hygienic environment, including proper sanitisation of toys, equipment and infant-care areas.
• Follow the centre’s health, safety, hygiene and infant-care procedures at all times.
• Monitor infants closely and ensure their safety and well-being remain the highest priority.
• Maintain accurate records of feeding, sleep, diaper changes, observations and developmental milestones.
• Communicate professionally and regularly with parents regarding their child’s routines, development and well-being.
• Work closely with fellow educators and the centre leadership team to ensure consistent standards of care.
• Participate in centre activities, staff meetings, training and professional development programmes.
• Perform other duties related to infant care and centre operations when required.

Requirements

• Possess a recognised Infant Care / Early Childhood qualification that meets current ECDA requirements for the position.
• Prior experience working with infants in an infant-care or early-childhood setting is preferred.
• Patient, nurturing, attentive and genuinely enjoys working with infants.
• Strong sense of responsibility and awareness of infant safety.
• Able to communicate effectively with parents, colleagues and centre management.
• Able to work well as part of a team and follow established procedures and directions.
• Good attendance, punctuality and professional work ethics.
