Job summary

A childcare consultancy in Singapore is seeking an Early Childhood Educator to develop and implement programmes for young children. Job description

Your main job responsibility is to develop and plan early childhood programmes for the children in the centre:

  • Responsible for implementing and execution of classroom and outdoor activities and ensuring a safe, conducive learning environment for the children
  • Complete lesson evaluations/reflection
  • Communicate with families on their child's progress and development
  • Maintain proper children's record & prepare child's portfolio for Parent Teacher Conference (PTC)
  • Maintain record keeping for centre's operation purpose - audit, licensing, tracking, monitoring.
  • Active participation and sharing of ideas, suggestions, learning, concerns and challenges during meetings
  • Provide coverage duties for staff on leave and other adhoc duties.
  • Plan and carry out events, excursions, workshops, collaborations with community, etc.

Job Requirements:

  • Advanced Certificate in Early Years (ACEY)
  • Preferably have at least 1-2 years' infant care experience in a pre-school setting
  • Demonstrate good communication skills
  • Adequate knowledge of current early childhood care and education development theories, research and practices
  • Possess classroom management skills and able to handle children's temperaments
  • Possess the necessary skills to plan, execute and evaluate appropriate developmental lessons
