Job summary

UNIVERSAL (FAR EAST) PTE. LTD. is seeking a hands-on Field Service & Assembly Technician to assemble, install, test, maintain, and troubleshoot industrial equipment. The role combines workshop-based assembly with on-site customer support.

You will read drawings, perform wiring and testing, travel locally and overseas as required, and ensure quality with detailed service reports. The position offers a challenging, hands-on environment and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• ITE/Diploma in Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical/Mechatronic/Industrial Automation with relevant experience.
• Ability to read drawings and electrical diagrams.
• Basic electrical wiring and troubleshooting knowledge.
• Willing to travel locally and overseas.
• Experience in equipment assembly or field service is a plus.
• Familiarity with PLCs, HMIs, sensors.
• Good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical and electrical equipment per drawings.
• Install equipment at customer sites and perform SAT.
• Test, calibrate, and perform quality checks.
• Prepare service reports after each visit.
• Provide technical support and operator guidance.
• Maintain records and follow safety procedures.
