Job description

Indoor Sales Executive/ Customer Service (Freight forwarding)

5 days, 9am- 5.30pm

Address: (Fort Canning)

Salary: $3000 -$3600

Job scope:

• Attend to client and overseas offices/agents as well as handle sea/air/land import and export enquiries
• Source and maintain rates from hauliers, shipping lines, overseas agents/offices and subcontractors
• Coordinate and follow up of shipment arrangement (air freight/sea freight/trucking), which includes but not limited to:

1. Work closely with sales personnel
2. Prepare quotation and carry out rates negotiations with shipping lines/ co-loader, etc
3. Check/ compare on the most economical of shipping documents
4. Responsible for documentation of shipping documents
5. Ensure all parties are kept informed on progress of shipment (collected/ shipped/ arrived/ etc)
6. Issue job sheets based on selling/ costs agreed

• Check and verify incoming, job-related invoices which will be handover to finance department for further processing
• Working with Finance and Business Development team on payment issues/job-related invoices and follow up on payment with clients
• Support the sales strategy, development of new business as well as coordination of Business Development shipments and existing business penetration
• Generate reports on quotes’ success and failure rates complete with clients’ and subcontractors’ feedback

Requirements:

• At least 3 years of relevant experience in the freight forwarding industry
• Very good proficiency with Microsoft Office Tools (Word, Excel etc.)
