What does the role involve?

We are looking for an indoor sales coordinator to join our Indoor Sales Team to support regional South East Asia business growth. As an indoor sales coordinator, you will work closely with our sales & project team to maximize our customer satisfaction. Our people come from different backgrounds with a shared dedication to high performance and consistent results. The Indoor Sales Team will engage in supporting the sales & project team to coordinate proposal & qualification activities, lead development, support account management activities and process & fulfill complex orders.

Job Description

1) Bid & Proposal:

  • Collaborate with the sales/project team to analyze customer Requests for Quotation (RFQs) and identify relevant Oglaend article numbers.
  • Research and provide accurate product costings.
  • Obtain up-to-date delivery lead times from factories and suppliers.
  • Prepare comprehensive quotations for customer approval.

2) Material Planning:

  • Manage and place distribution and purchase orders with precision.
  • Proactively monitor the progress of all distribution and purchase orders.
  • Communicate order status updates effectively to sales, project management, and logistics teams.
  • Initiate and manage incoming deliveries from factories and suppliers.

3) Customer Service:

  • Meticulously verify customer purchase orders against submitted quotations.
  • Process customer orders efficiently within the M3 system.
  • Generate accurate picking lists to ensure proper order fulfillment.
  • Prepare essential shipping documents for customers, including delivery notes, commercial invoices, and packing summaries (as applicable).
  • Establish clear communication with customers to confirm delivery dates.
  • Liaise with the logistics team to arrange deliveries upon confirmed dates.
  • Deliver timely and accurate monthly delivery forecasts to support financial planning and analysis activities.

What you need is:

  • Diploma or Degree in any discipline.
  • Strong customer orientation and problem-solving and can-do attitude.
  • Excellent communicator & comfortable to work with others, be part of the team to implement the change.
  • Self-motivated, highly energetic and willing to explore self-potential in different areas.
  • Proven experience working in a multi-culture environment, ability to work with stakeholders from different backgrounds.
  • High ambition to develop your long-term career at Hilti.
  • Proficiency in Excel, including advanced functions, formulas, and data manipulation techniques.
  • Knowledge of ERP (Movex M3), Marco, VBA, and Power BI for purposes of automation, reporting, and data visualization is advantageous.
