About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and resourceful Indonesia Operations Lead to spearhead our go-to-market strategy in Indonesia for our fast-growing beauty brand. This is a foundational role responsible for building and managing cross-border e-commerce operations, with a strong focus on TikTok Shop and Shopee.
You will coordinate between local creators, fulfillment partners, and internal marketing and product teams to ensure a seamless market launch and scalable operations. Key Responsibilities
- Market Execution & Team Building
- Drive the launch and growth of the Indonesian market across TikTok and Shopee
- Recruit and manage a lean local team (content ops, BD, customer service, fulfillment support)
- Serve as the operational link between HQ and local execution
- Content & Creator Partnership
- Identify and manage collaborations with mid-tier KOLs/creators or local MCNs
- Coordinate video/streaming content rollout and performance tracking (ROI, engagement)
- Ensure content aligns with product positioning and local cultural preferences
- Platform & Channel Operations
- Oversee Shopee store activities including campaigns, pricing, promotions, and backend operations
- Work with TikTok Shop features, policies, and campaigns to ensure product exposure
- Monitor store KPIs including fulfillment speed, customer satisfaction, and rating
- Local Fulfillment & Compliance Coordination
- Work with local third-party logistics (e.g. Janio, Shipper, J&T) for pre-clearance and local delivery
- Coordinate with compliance partners for BPOM registration, Halal certification, or product exemptions
- Data Monitoring & Business Feedback
- Analyze key metrics (sales, ROI, refund rate, traffic) and iterate campaigns accordingly
- Provide market feedback to HQ on consumer trends, pricing competitiveness, and packaging requirements
Requirements
- 3–6 years of experience in e-commerce operations or digital marketing; TikTok Shop or Shopee experience strongly preferred
- Deep familiarity with Indonesia’s consumer and creator ecosystem
- Strong understanding of influencer-led marketing and platform commerce model.
- Hands-on, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to build 0–1 operations
- Based in Singapore or open to relocation/travel
Bonus Points
- Worked at TikTok, Shopee, or with SEA-based D2C brands
- Familiar with fulfillment operations and local warehousing models
- Knowledge of local compliance requirements (e.g. BPOM, Halal)
