Indirect Purchaser

Your tasks

• Perform strategic and tactical purchasing activities in a group of assigned indirect materials & services, with the objective to establish optimum total cost of ownership.
• Lead and drive tender or request for proposal.
• Conduct thorough analysis and management of contractual agreements to prepare for renegotiations or subsequent negotiations, initiate necessary measures, and ensure the continuity of supplies.
• Conduct supplier selection, establish criteria, and prepare decisions for the requesting departments to ensure a defined and documented sourcing process.
• Supplier management to gain the best suppliers and guarantee an optimum supply chain.
• Align with purchasing process methods & tools and ensure compliance of global and country policies as well as category management.
• Collaborate with cross-country to lead & drive strategy on assigned categories.
• Responsible for assigned categories for Singapore and Thailand.

Your profile

• Bachelor degree in Purchasing/Supply Chain or related fields.
• Knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office tools.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in category management of Engineering Services, R&D Equipment (jigs and fixtures), External Engineering Test Services.
• Excellent negotiation skills and a proven track record in cost reduction.
• Team player with proven influencing and collaboration skills to work effectively across functions.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills to interact with different levels of people.
• Bilingual in English & Mandarin to liaise with Asia and Europe offices will be an advantage.
