Job Description

Position Title: Territory Sales Officer

Reports To: Area Sales Manager

Key Purpose

Responsible for distribution and display of General Mills India products in the assigned area. Achieve retail volume and collection targets through effective distributor management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure GMI products are sold to all relevant outlets in the territory.
  • Ensure product availability in targeted outlets and identify new distributors.
  • Maintain product visibility in all serviced outlets.
  • Manage stock, claims, and outstanding balances with the WB as per norms.
  • Ensure DSMs work efficiently on man-days, productivity, and visibility standards.
  • Train DSMs on selling skills and product knowledge.
  • Monitor competitor activities and report findings.
  • Suggest branding initiatives such as local promotions and display contests.
Key Interfaces
  • Internal: Regional Commercial Team & ASM
  • External: DSMs, WBs, Retailers, CFA & Consumers
