Job summary

AWWA LTD. is seeking a dedicated Preschool Teacher to deliver engaging lessons across levels, prepare learning resources, and ensure the safety and well-being of children in a vibrant learning environment.

You will conduct literacy activities, maintain developmental profiles, and collaborate with parents through conferences and newsletters to support holistic development. A Diploma/ Degree in early childhood education is required, with 2–3 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum Degree/Diploma in Preschool Education (DPE-T) or Early Childhood Care Education (DECCE) or equivalent.
• 5 credits in English and Mother Tongue in GCE O Levels.
• Minimum 2-3 years of working experience in early childhood settings.
• Adequate knowledge of current early childhood care and education development theories, research, and practices.
• Good communication and classroom management skills.
• Creative and passionate in an inclusive preschool education.
• Enjoys working with young children and is able to work well with families.

Responsibilities

• Deliver appropriate lessons for all levels of classes, using a variety of teaching techniques.
• Conduct literacy program after testing language ability of individual children.
• Prepare learning activities, resources and materials for all levels of classes.
• Complete lesson plan evaluation form to reflect on effectiveness and learning objectives.
• Set up and maintain learning centers (Math, Science, English, Chinese, Art & Crafts).
• Source suitable material for display and update according to focus and children’s interests.
• Monitor children's development and update developmental profiles.
• Conduct Parent-Teacher Conferences (PTC).
• Ensure well-being and safety of children in all development domains.
• Interact with children in a nurturing manner.
• Manage daily care routines (meals, milk feeds, baths, diaper changes, temperature checks, basic first aid).
• Work with parents and community in holistic development; plan monthly newsletters or class blogs; communicate via a book; encourage involvement in centre events.
• Participate in centre activities and events; plan field trips; carry out class administration; assist in ad-hoc projects as directed.
