Job Description

Curriculum and instructional design

· To engage in program leadership, curriculum design and development

· To engage in research that informs policy and practice.

· To establish professional connections with local and international researchers and practitioners involved in area of expertise

· To share expertise with colleagues through various platforms

Conduct Professional development

· To conduct pre-service and in-service teacher education and professional development, more specifically in inclusive classroom practices and design.

· Proactively engage in continuous professional development including attachments to preschools for contextual knowledge and skills development.

· Creating inclusive learning settings through learner-centered approaches and inclusive pedagogies.

· Design and foster collaborative learning through book readings and action learning within sector.

· Ensure psychological and social support beyond the student’s learning achievements and addresses their specific mental needs and challenges.

· Identify learners at risk of early leaving, as well as with competences and tools to support them effectively and in a timely manner.

· Adapt to the diverse and changing training needs of trainees.

· Focus on developing teachers and trainers’ digital skills for inclusion, classroom management, learners’ well-being, school climate and students’ guidance.

Partnerships and stakeholder management

· Maintain direct communications with external stakeholders (e.g. childcare operators, families, caregivers, community partners and commercial partners) to support students and/or school initiatives

· Work in partnership with operators to support programme development to achieve positive pre-school outcomes.

Organization management and development

· Manage daily administrative tasks (e.g. track attendance, collect forms, update families/caregivers.)

Requirements

· Degree in any discipline or Diploma in Autism, Early Childhood Education or Special Needs Education.

· Relevant experience in teaching special needs children.

· Passionate about each child personal growth and open to new and innovative methods of teaching.

· Able to work in a team with social workers, therapist and other teaching colleagues.

· Able to manage and work with ambiguity for new projects.
