The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for the timely daily shipment order execution and management. The role involves booking and shipment coordination, liaising with various stakeholders for warehousing and transportation, shipping document preparation, and regulatory customs and trade compliance.

Scope of Work & Responsibilities

Export/Import

  • Receive and process shipment orders triggered by customers.
  • Book freight with nominated carriers based on the customer's carrier routine guide.
  • Provide quotations for additional services such as warehousing, transportation, and documentation.
  • Liaise with truckers to collect and truck empty containers from depot to customer premises for stuffing, and to launch the laden container to port.
  • Prepare permits and other relevant applications/declarations.
  • Prepare Letter of Credit and final shipping documents.
  • Monitor shipping documents for shipment clearance and regulatory compliance.

Job Requirements

Experience

  • 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in sea operations.
  • Fresh graduates in Logistics and Supply Chain Management or equivalent from polytechnics and universities are welcome to apply.

Qualifications

Diploma or degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management or equivalent.

Knowledge/Skills

Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel. Knowledge of IT systems such as SAP is an advantage.

Commitment to work excellence and strong interpersonal communication skills.
