Job Responsibilities:
- Customs Declaration Management: Responsible for handling customs declaration procedures for import and export goods, ensuring full compliance with Singapore Customs regulations and international trade standards, and completing clearance efficiently.
- Customs Tax Planning and Management: Proficient in Singapore's customs tax policies, capable of formulating and implementing effective tax planning strategies, accurately calculating and paying relevant duties and taxes to ensure the company remains tax-compliant.
- AEO Policy Application & Supplier Management: Familiar with AEO (Authorized Economic Operator) policies; able to select, manage, and evaluate suppliers according to policy requirements to enhance the safety and efficiency of the supply chain.
- Systematic Customs Management: Capable of establishing and maintaining a systematic management framework for import and export operations, ensuring standardized, streamlined, and compliant customs procedures.
- Finance Collaboration: Work closely with the finance department to transfer tax-related documents, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records, and support financial reporting and audits.
- Business Guidance & Support: Provide guidance to business departments on proper contract terms for import/export orders to ensure compliance with international trade practices and legal requirements; participate in the order execution process to ensure successful implementation.
- Customs Strategy Design & Risk Advisory: Design customs compliance solutions for special trade methods (e.g., processing trade, re-export trade), identify and assess potential business risks, and provide risk mitigation recommendations.
- Data Management & Documentation: Regularly organize import/export data, ensuring accuracy and timeliness; responsible for archiving and preserving documents and maintaining an efficient document management system.
- Policy Research & Updates: Continuously monitor the latest policy developments from Singapore Customs and related authorities to ensure company operations remain up-to-date and compliant, adjusting processes as necessary.
- Others: Also need to handle some admin and customer services related works
Job Requirements:
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree or above in International Trade, Logistics Management, or a related field.
- Work Experience: 2–3 years of experience in customs compliance or import/export operations, with familiarity in Singapore and international trade procedures and regulations. Experience in the semiconductor industry is preferred.
- Professional Skills: Proficient in Incoterms, letters of credit, and international trade settlement methods; experienced with Singapore’s customs systems and office software.
- Risk Awareness: Strong ability to identify and manage potential trade-related risks.
- Communication & Coordination: Excellent cross-departmental communication and collaboration skills.
- Language Skills: Fluent in English (listening, speaking, reading, and writing) with good proficiency in Chinese (written and verbal).
- Additional Advantage: Certifications from relevant professional bodies (e.g., CILT, CSCP) are a plus.
- No EP/SP quota.
- Can start to work within 1-2 month.
