Job summary

Mindteck seeks an ILS Technical Writer to develop and maintain technical and logistics documentation for complex engineering systems throughout their lifecycle.

You will work with engineering, logistics, maintenance, training, and project teams to translate drawings and specifications into clear user content, ensuring revisions and releases meet industry standards.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technical Communications, IT, Logistics, or related field.
• 3–8 years of experience in technical writing, technical publications, engineering documentation, or ILS.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical specifications.
• Knowledge of ILS, LSA, RAM, and Configuration Management.
• Strong technical writing, editing, communication, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, Visio, Adobe Acrobat, or technical authoring tools.
• Knowledge of S1000D/ASD/AIA standards is an advantage.
• Defence, aerospace, maritime, manufacturing, or complex systems experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain technical and logistics documentation, including operation/maintenance manuals, repair procedures, technical guides, IPCs, and training materials.
• Translate engineering drawings, specifications, BOMs, and technical information into clear user documentation.
• Support ILS, LSA, RAM, and configuration management activities.
• Collaborate with engineers, logisticians, SMEs, and project teams to gather and validate technical information.
• Manage document revisions, configuration control, reviews, approvals, and releases.
• Ensure documentation meets applicable industry, defence, military, or customer standards.
• Perform technical document reviews for accuracy, completeness, consistency, and traceability.
