IFRS Actuarial Leader - Reinsurance

This premier reinsurer is set for growth and is looking to hire a dynamic IFRS Leader.

Responsibilities

Reporting to Global Actuary, you are a member of and will lead the actuarial aspects of IFRS for Property & Casualty business in the region. Working with the Property & Casualty business, Finance and Audit teams, you will be responsible for the IFRS analysis, result attribution, assess and present business impact on IFRS output, periodical reporting and disclosures. You will continuously develop and improve existing processes and implement the adoption of IFRS 17 in the region. You will collaborate with the regional and global teams on strategic initiatives and projects.

Requirements

A qualified actuary, you will possess 8 - 12 years of relevant experience including at least 5 years in actuary for property and casualty business, ideally within reinsurance. You possess a good understanding of IFRS reporting, ideally for Property & Casualty reinsurance under General Measurement Model (GMM). Experience in IFRS implementation is an advantage. Proficiency in coding skills, R (and/or Python) and SQL is preferred but not a must. With strong communication and interpersonal skills, you are highly commercial, independent, a strong team player and comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment.
