Job summary

Nexus International School (Singapore) is seeking a Secondary School Teacher for Physics to deliver IB MYP, IGCSE, and IBDP physics across Years 7–13. The role reports to the Learning Area Leader and starts 01 August 2027.

You will use inquiry-based pedagogy, assess learning with formative and summative tools, and collaborate with a diverse, international team to inspire lifelong learning and curiosity in young people.

Qualifications

• A recognised teaching qualification.
• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Physics, Engineering, or related field.
• Evidence of continued professional development.
• At least 2 years in an international school with IBMYP/IGCSE/IBDP (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Teach Physics to Years 7–13, across IB MYP, IGCSE and IBDP.
• Use inquiry-based pedagogy to foster active learning.
• Assess learning with formative and summative tools.
• Plan progression using assessment data and feedback.
• Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to school events.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Physics or related field
