Job summary

EXYTE SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. is seeking an ELV design engineer to develop control systems, life safety, and IT cabling for process and building projects in Singapore. You will prepare P&IDs, IO lists, logic diagrams and ensure interface compatibility with other trades while coordinating with senior engineers as needed.

The role covers design, procurement support, construction phase inputs, and commissioning readiness for ELV packages, with focus on adhering to codes, standards and project timelines.

Qualifications

• Degree in Instrumentation and Controls Engineering.
• Diploma holders with 2-3 years’ experience or equivalents.
• Experience in design, installation, programming, commissioning of Process and Building control systems.
• Experience in Extra Low Voltage systems such as Fire Alarm, Security, IT data network.
• Experience in coordinating with vendors and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Design of control systems, instrumentation, cabling and cable support systems for Process equipment.
• Design of Life Safety System comprising Public Address, Access control, CCTV, Gas Detection and Fire Alarm systems.
• Develop P&IDs, Instruments and IO list, Sequence of Operations, Logic Diagrams, Cause and effect matrices.
• Develop/Execute/Expedite ELV packages during design, procurement, construction phases.
• Coordinate ELV supervisors on a project to ensure timely delivery at milestones.
• Interface with other trades during design and incorporate requirements into ELV design.
• Technical evaluation of vendor submissions including shop drawings approval.
• Prepare testing and commissioning procedures for individual systems and manage subcontractors.
• Guide Designers for cable routing, hookup/wiring drawings, schedules, block diagrams and P&ID controls.
• Prepare ELV system tender packages including specs and drawings.
• Stay familiar with latest country codes, practices and engineering trends.
• Tendering and estimating ELV works prior to award.
• Prepare Technical Bid evaluations and recommendations during project execution.
• Compile and review Operation and Maintenance dossiers for projects.
• Liaise with Clients, Consultants, vendors and suppliers to ensure design interface compatibility.
• Adhere to Corporate and Project Quality Management System.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation and Controls Engineering

Diploma holders with 2-3 years’ experience or professional certifications
