Job summary

Checkout.com in Singapore seeks an experienced Compliance Advisor to provide operational advisory on high‑risk clients during onboarding, periodic reviews, and trigger events, delivering justified opinions and recommendations.

You will investigate alerts reported to Compliance, draft STRs, update the local framework, run training, and contribute to regulator reports, while coordinating with stakeholders across onboarding, risk, and product in a fast-paced fintech environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a Compliance role in banking or payments.
• Experience in Compliance Advisory is ideal; otherwise, 2LoD with investigations/audit exposure.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational advisory on high-risk clients during onboarding, periodic reviews or trigger events.
• Investigate alerts reported to Compliance and draft STRs.
• Update local compliance framework (policies, procedures and memos).
• Provide quick advisory to internal teams on procedural applications.
• Contribute to AML-CTF risk classification updates and product/activity reviews.
• Contribute to regulator and senior management reports.
• Draft training materials and run training sessions.
• Perform regulatory watch and gap analysis and propose enhancements.
• Participate as SME in APAC Compliance projects.
