Job summary

TALENT TRADER GROUP PTE. LTD. is seeking a hands-on Mechanical Maintenance Technician to service pumps, chillers and rotating equipment in Singapore. You will perform maintenance, overhauls, alignment, and testing, ensuring equipment runs safely and efficiently.

The role requires 2 years of relevant experience, a Nitec in Mechanical Engineering, and the ability to read drawings. You’ll work with precision tools and collaborate with a safety‑minded team to keep systems reliable.

Qualifications

• Min Nitec in Mechanical Engineering or its equivalent.
• Min 2 years of experience in pumps, chillers, HVAC, or rotating equipment maintenance.
• Hands-on experience in pump overhauls, bearing and mechanical seal replacement, shaft alignment, and use of precision measuring instruments.
• Able to read mechanical drawings with good troubleshooting, communication, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, repair, overhaul, installation, troubleshooting, and alignment of pumps, motors, chillers, cooling towers, and other rotating equipment.
• Dismantle, inspect, repair, reassemble, and test chilled water, condenser water, and centrifugal pumps, including replacement of bearings, mechanical seals, couplings, gaskets, sleeves, and wear rings.
• Perform precision shaft alignment using laser alignment and dial indicators, including correction of soft foot and misalignment conditions.
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on water-cooled and air-cooled chillers, including shaft seal replacement, equipment alignment, shutdown, overhaul, and commissioning activities.
• Diagnose mechanical faults, conduct equipment inspections, prepare maintenance records, and ensure all work complies with safety, permit-to-work, risk assessment, and housekeeping requirements.
