prepares detailed shop drawings and technical plans for HVAC ducting on construction projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project requirements. Using AutoCAD or Revit, the drafter produces layout drawings and installation details, coordinates with MEP, architectural, and structural layouts, and revises drawings based on client comments and on-site conditions.

Qualifications

• Prepare detailed shop drawings for HVAC ducting systems.
• Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and other trades to ensure accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed shop drawings for ducting systems based on project specifications.
• Produce layout drawings, sections, and installation details using AutoCAD, Revit, or other drafting software
• Coordinate drawings with MEP, architectural, and structural layouts
• Revise drawings per client comments and site conditions
• Generate as-built drawings upon project completion
• Assist in quantity take-off (QTO) and material estimation
• Ensure drawings comply with local codes and project requirements
• Liaise with project engineers and subcontractors to resolve technical issues
• Maintain version-controlled documentation
• Support project teams with drafting updates
