We are looking for a dynamic HVAC Design Engineer (Product Development) to lead and support the creation of next-generation HVAC products for smart city environments. You will be involved in the full product development lifecycle — from concept design, prototyping, testing, to product optimization — focusing on energy efficiency, digital connectivity, and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:
Research, design, and develop innovative HVAC systems and components tailored for smart infrastructure and sustainable urban environments.
Perform system modeling, thermal simulations, and analysis to evaluate performance, reliability, and energy efficiency.
Create detailed design drawings, technical specifications, and prototypes for HVAC-related products.
Collaborate closely with cross-disciplinary teams (e.g., electronics, software, controls) to integrate HVAC solutions into larger smart city platforms and IoT ecosystems.
Conduct testing, validation, and troubleshooting of new designs, ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and environmental standards.
Support iterative improvements based on testing feedback, field trials, and user needs.
Drive product certification processes and compliance with relevant green building standards (e.g., BCA Green Mark, LEED).
Stay abreast of new technologies and materials in HVAC, energy recovery, and smart systems for continuous product innovation.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, Thermal Engineering, or related fields.
3 to 6 years of hands-on experience in HVAC system design and product development.
Strong understanding of thermodynamics, heat transfer, fluid dynamics, and energy systems.
Experience with simulation tools such as ANSYS, CFD software, HAP, or EnergyPlus.
Proficient in design tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit MEP).
Familiarity with smart systems integration (e.g., BMS, IoT-based controls) is an advantage.
Strong innovation mindset, able to work in a fast-paced, R&D-driven environment.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
