We are seeking a proactive, productive and organised Human Resource Assistant Manager to assist with all HR functions within the growing organisation.
HR Strategy & Policy Development
- Develop, implement and review HR policies and SOPs aligned with company vision and local employment laws.
- Assist with the formulation of frameworks for leave, performance evaluation, disciplinary procedures, and role clarity.
- Collaborate with the directors to shape strategic staffing and development plans.
2. Recruitment & Talent Management
- Oversee the end-to-end hiring process: job posting, screening, interviews, and final selection.
- Ensure timely preparation of offer letters, contracts, and onboarding packs.
- Coordinate and implement existing onboarding and orientation experience for new hires.
3. Contract & Records Management
- Prepare employment contracts, renewal letters, and amendments with attention to compliance.
- Maintain an organised system for storing contracts, probation reviews, appraisals, and confidential employee data.
- Ensure employment terms are kept up to date with the latest MOM regulations and internal policy changes.
4. Leave & Attendance Oversight
- Handle the processing of leave applications, ensuring fair allocation and backup planning.
- Monitor and address staff and adjuct teacher absenteeism and punctuality across centres and escalate non-compliance.
- Collaborate with payroll team for payroll inputs and leave summaries.
5. Performance & Conduct Management
- Implement a structured appraisal and feedback cycle.
- Manage performance improvement plans and follow through on staff development or disciplinary action.
- Document and address internal grievances, conflicts and conduct issues, escalating to the director when necessary.
6. Staff Welfare & Engagement
- Promote a culture of respect, professionalism and open communication.
- Mediate interpersonal challenges, including tensions or complaints raised among team members.
7. Compliance & Legal Knowledge
- Remain well-informed of updates from MOM, TAFEP, and other legal bodies.
- Ensure company policies, contracts, and actions are fully compliant with Singapore's employment laws and PDPA.
- Review and adjust HR documents annually or as required.
8. HR Trends & Improvements
- Introduce relevant HR trends such as mental wellness support, fair work culture, and talent retention initiatives.
- Make recommendations for improving current practices and staff experiences.
- Support digitalisation or automation of HR tasks where suitable.
- Maintain and update employee handbook
Work days:
5-day week
Monday to Thursday and Saturday
