A leading company in the engineering and construction sector seeks an HR Manager to implement HR strategies aligned with business objectives. Key responsibilities include ensuring compliance with labor laws, managing recruitment processes, and coordinating training programs to support staff development. The ideal candidate will hold a Diploma/GCE A Levels and have 2+ years of HR experience, preferably in the engineering/construction sector, with a strong emphasis on communication and time management skills.
Job responsibilities and duties:
Responsible for the implementation of HR business plans to achieve the company’s goals and objectives.
Support the company’s objectives.
Ensure that all HR or labor legal/statutory compliances are followed and report legal/statutory updates that affect the company on a timely basis.
Respond to the Government/Statutory body and external organization’s query and survey on human-related matters.
Participate and contribute actively either as the Chairman or as a member in the various working committees of the company or any other company’s wide gathering.
Maintain the discipline and cohesiveness of staff under charge, working towards achieving the corporate objectives. Have a nose for recognizing problems.
Need to write to internal or external parties most effectively and concisely. Conversely, one must be able to converse concisely and timely.
Work with all departments on their manpower planning needs.
Provide/facilitate HR services in the area of recruitment, selection, benefits administration, and employee relations.
Facilitate the company’s Training Plan.
Organize and coordinate new employees’ orientation and induction programs.
Develop, coordinate, and facilitate the implementation of the employees’ performance appraisal system if required.
Facilitate and arrange for the application, monitoring, and renewal of NTS employees’ work permits.
Arrange for workmen’s insurance and security bond.
Facilitate and coordinate with the agent in the recruitment and repatriation of NTS employees.
Maintenance and upkeep of HR personnel files in the ERP System.
Mediate employees’ conflicts.
Review and appoint the company’s medical clinics.
Perform any other related duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor or from the Director’s office.
Minimum requirement:
Diploma/GCE A Levels
Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience, preferably in the engineering/construction sector.
Good knowledge and interpretation of the Singapore Employment Act and MOM regulations for foreign worker-related matters.
Team player with the ability to communicate clearly and efficiently within the team as well as with the business divisions.
Strong time management and multi-tasking ability are necessary.
Must have a sense of urgency in handling time-critical tasks and be able to follow through to completion.
